TAMPA — Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn will personally hand out tickets this afternoon to those planning to attend President Barack Obama's campaign stop at the Dale Mabry Campus of Hillsborough Community College on Friday.
Tickets are required for the free event. They are available at Obama campaign offices in Ybor City, St. Petersburg, Riverview and Wesley Chapel.
Buckhorn was expected to report to the Ybor City office at 4:45 p.m. to help hand out tickets, "address Tampa residents" and "thank volunteers at the Ybor City office, who will be conducting a phone bank throughout the evening,'' according to a news release.
Obama's event will be held at the HCC gymnasium late Friday afternoon, his campaign said. Doors are set to open at 1 p.m. The HCC campus is at 4001 W Tampa Bay Blvd.
