TAMPA — Five months after being asked, Tampa Bay's largest church has shipped a batch of financial documents to U.S. senators investigating six high-profile television ministries.

The Senate Finance Committee late Monday received a spiral-bound volume "maybe an inch and a half thick" from Without Walls International Church, said Jill Gerber, a spokeswoman for Sen. Charles Grassley, the committee's ranking Republican and leader of a series of investigations into tax-exempt organizations.

Gerber said the package was a joint response from Without Walls and Paula White Ministries. Without Walls was co-founded by pastors Randy and Paula White, but the couple divorced this past fall, leaving Randy White as pastor.

Gerber said the committee had not decided which documents, if any, to make public.

Without Walls representatives didn't respond to requests Tuesday to discuss the information the church had provided.

The committee is looking into how laws governing tax-exempt organizations are working.
