Stage for RNC takes shape at Tampa Bay Times Forum

The media got a chance to check on the progress Monday of the Republican National Convention renovations at the Tampa Bay Times Forum.

This view shows the stage that is being constructed where presumptive nominee Mitt Romney will accept the nomination. About 3,000 seats were removed to make room for the stage and other platforms that will be used by the media.

The work is expected to last five more weeks, with between 200 to 300 workers a day at the site.

The convention starts Aug. 27.
