80-year-old New Port Richey man returns home safely after going missing

NEW PORT RICHEY — An 80-year-old man with cancer and Alzheimer's disease who was reported missing Wednesday returned home uninjured Sunday morning, according to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office.

James Shedden, of 9666 Noble Court, was last seen by family members at his residence around 10 p.m. Wednesday, deputies said.

He was there when they left to go to the store, deputies said. But when they returned, Shedden was gone and so was his gold 2010 Toyota Sienna minivan.

It was unclear where he went while he was missing.
