CLEARWATER — An 86-year-old man died after his car careened into a tree and flipped Monday morning, Florida Highway Patrol troopers said.
Raphael Earl Glasscock, 86, of Clearwater was driving his 2006 Cadillac on Lakeview Road near Dorothy Drive just after 10:15 a.m. when he had a medical emergency, officials said.
He veered off the road, onto the north shoulder and into a tree, troopers said.
Glasscock, who was wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene.
No further information was released, though an investigation was ongoing.
