OLDSMAR — A 37-year-old Dunedin man was seriously injured in a high-speed motorcycle crash early Thursday morning, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said Justin Kaune was riding southbound on Bayside Boulevard around 2:30 a.m. when he struck a cement median and lost control.

Kaune, who was not wearing a helmet, was ejected from his Suzuki motorcycle and sustained serious injuries, deputies said.

Speed and impairment appear to be factors in the crash, the agency said. Kaune was taken to a local hospital with what were described as serious injuries.
