In St. Petersburg, motorcyclist dies in crash with school bus

ST. PETERSBURG — A motorcyclist was killed in a crash with a school bus on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Wanderley Rosales Echemen, 21, was riding a motorcycle east on 62nd Avenue N when a school bus carrying students from Nina Harris School turned south onto 28th Street N and into Echemen’s path, troopers said.

Echemen, of St. Petersburg, crashed into the side of the bus, troopers said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Hector Ramon Paz, 60, of Largo, was driving the bus, according to the FHP.

The crash took place at about 4:51 p.m. None of the seven passengers on the bus reported any injuries, troopers said.

No other details about the incident were released.
