CLEARWATER A 38-year-old tree trimmer is in critical condition after he was shocked by a power line Monday, according to Clearwater Fire & Rescue.

Ernest Harlen, of Largo, was on a ladder cutting trees with a pole saw when he was shocked just before 11 a.m. He was working in the backyard of a home at 1309 Milton St.

He was taken to Tampa General Hospital, where he remained Monday afternoon.
