Tarpon Springs woman struck twice, killed on U.S. 19 in Holiday

HOLIDAY — Authorities are searching for two drivers who hit a woman on U.S. 19 in Holiday on Friday night. Geraldine D. Ford, 53, of Tarpon Springs, was killed while crossing U.S. 19 at Moog Road in the crosswalk, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

At 10:44 p.m., a dark-colored pickup traveling north slammed into her. The front passenger side of the truck struck Ford, who was then was run over by a northbound car that is either red or white.

Both drivers left the scene.

Authorities are asking anyone with information to call Cpl. A. Palese at (727) 841-4181, ext. 173.
