Wind gust damages small, empty plane

A small plane was blown onto its right wing during a wind gust Friday afternoon at the St. Petersburg/Clearwater International Airport.

The plane was empty at the time, airport spokeswoman Michele Routh said, and sustained only minor damages.

Fire and rescue units responded to the damaged plane at 1:27 p.m.

It's unclear who owns the plane.
