A man on a bicycle was seriously injured Tuesday evening when he was struck by a car on Park Boulevard.
According to Pinellas Park police, the man had entered an eastbound lane and was traveling against the traffic without lights or other safety equipment on his bicycle. Around the 6000 block of Park Boulevard, a vehicle struck the bicyclist. Police responded at 6:53 p.m. Authorities believe alcohol was a factor.
The man, who suffered life-threatening injuries, was taken to an area hospital. The names of the bicyclist and the vehicle's driver were not released Tuesday.
