BROOKSVILLE — Authorities say a 26-year-old Brooksville man died from injuries after his all-terrain vehicle veered off Good Neighbor Trail and struck a tree Sunday.
Jahraud R. Saunders died at Brooksville Regional Hospital, where police say he was taken after the crash. A report said police think Saunders was the driver of the vehicle, which wrecked between Tanglewood Apartments and Hillside Estates.
Passenger Robyn L. Ennes, 28, of Brooksville also was taken to the hospital, but police said her injuries were not life-threatening.
Although motorized vehicles are not allowed on the trail, Brooksville police Chief George Turner said the two were joyriding there at the time of the crash.
The Brooksville Police Department is continuing the investigation and welcomes anyone with information to call (352) 540-3800.
