BROOKSVILLE — A 31-year-old Brooksville man was killed today when he swerved off the road while making a turn and hit a street sign and a tree, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Bryan Harris was driving his 1998 Lincoln north on Sunshine Grove Road at 6:30 a.m. when he tried to turn right onto Hexam Road, the FHP reports, but his car hit the sign and tree at the T intersection. Harris, who was wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene.
