SEMINOLE — A car crashed into an above-ground water main Tuesday afternoon, causing flooding in the area of Oakhurst Road and 94th Avenue N.

The car, a 2001 Ford Focus, was headed south on Oakhurst Road about 1:30 p.m., when it veered onto the west shoulder, hit a traffic sign and crashed into the water main, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The driver, Katelyn Jane O'Connor, 29, of Seminole, might have suffered an unspecified medical condition, which caused her to crash, troopers said. She was taken to Largo Medical Center with minor injuries. She was also issued citations for careless driving and driving with a suspended license, authorities said.
