Crash south of Howard Frankland stalls traffic

ST. PETERSBURG — Traffic on Interstate 275 southbound, busy with beachgoers and Tampa Bay Rays fans headed to today's 1:40 p.m. game, was stalled Sunday afternoon by a collision that closed two lanes.

A car and a truck collided, with the truck striking the concrete median barrier. The crash occurred south of the Howard Frankland Bridge.

The Florida Highway Patrol was on the scene.
