NEW PORT RICHEY — A 22-year-old passenger on a motorcycle died days after the driver crashed it into a car, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Amanda Mary Clark was treated late Sunday after the crash at Bayfront Medical Center for critical injuries, but troopers said late Wednesday that she died.
She was a passenger on the 2000 Honda motorcycle of Gregory David Merrill, 38, who rode northbound on Little Road and ran the red light at River Crossing Boulevard, troopers said. His motorcycle collided with the left side of a 2000 Nissan Pathfinder, and the impact killed him.
Javan Cristian Aldridge, 32, the driver of the Nissan, was treated for minor injuries at Community Hospital.
Aldridge wore a seat belt. Neither Clark nor Merrill wore a helmet.
