DUNEDIN — The driver of an SUV that crashed on Main Street on Monday morning was airlifted to Bayfront Medical Center, authorities say.
Deputies said a silver Saturn SUV going west near 1143 Main St. lost control about 9 a.m. and smashed into a concrete pole. The driver, Richard Szczerbacki, was conscious, but the extent of his injuries was unknown. There were no passengers.
Fire Rescue extracted the man from his car while, and then a medical helicopter took take him to the hospital.
