FHP identifies 27-year-old motorcyclist killed in Brooksville crash

BROOKSVILLE — A 27-year-old Spring Hill man died Monday afternoon after his motorcycle crashed into another vehicle, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Stephen Gregory Hnat rode a 2000 Honda motorcycle around 3:17 p.m. on Cortez Boulevard at the intersection of Fort Dade Avenue when he collided with a 1994 Isuzu Trooper driven by Johnnie Holloway, 74, of Brooksville, who was turning onto Fort Dade, the report states.

The motorcyclist, who wore a helmet, later died at Brooksville Regional Hospital. Holloway suffered minor injuries, the report states.
