WEEKI WACHEE — Authorities have identified the motorcyclist who died Friday on U.S. 19 as Eugene F. Bramley, 57, of Franklin, Tenn.
The Florida Highway Patrol said Bramley was going north through the intersection at Northcliffe Boulevard about 3:50 p.m. when his 2006 Harley Davidson crashed into a southbound vehicle that was turning left on a green turn signal, troopers said.
Bramley, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from the bike and died at the scene from his injuries, troopers said.
The driver of the 2003 Ford truck, Donald Hooks, 33, of Spring Hill, suffered minor injuries.
Troopers are still investigating to determine whether any charges will be filed.
