FHP identifies motorcyclist killed in Trinity crash

TRINITY — The Florida Highway Patrol today identified the motorcyclist who was killed Wednesday in a fiery collision at Trinity and Tamarind boulevards.

William R. Forrest, 71, of New Port Richey, was driving a 2007 Boss Hoss motorcycle west on Trinity Boulevard just before 4 p.m. when a 2008 Honda Accord pulled into his path while entering the Fox Wood subdivision, the Highway Patrol said.

Loraine Manning, 75, failed to yield the right of way, according to a trooper's report. She was seriously injured and taken to Community Hospital in New Port Richey.

Charges are pending.

The Highway Patrol asks that any witnesses to the crash call (813) 631-4020 and ask to be connected with Cpl. David Frye or Sgt. Heather Glenny.
