Four hurt in rollover crash on Suncoast Parkway

LAND O'LAKES — Two adults and two toddlers were injured Wednesday afternoon when the truck they were riding in flipped on the Suncoast Parkway.

Ashley Megan Usrey, 29, was driving the Dodge Ram with her 1-year-old daughter, 3-year-old son and 29-year-old passenger Brandon Michael Wills. They were headed south near S.R. 52 when the truck's right rear tire blew out, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

Usrey lost control of the pickup, which began flipping down the road. She was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown out as the truck rolled and eventually came to a rest upright atop a cable barrier in the median.

Usrey and Wills, who was wearing a seat belt, received serious injuries. The children were also in restraints and had minor injuries. The four were taken to Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point.

Usrey was cited by FHP for not wearing a seat belt.
