SAN ANTONIO — A 20-year-old man from Largo died early Thursday after losing control of his car on Interstate 75.
The crash happened about 12:50 a.m. as Christian Nicholas Reimer was driving his 1996 Pontiac Grand Am north on I-75 just south of State Road 52. Reimer veered into the grassy median, overcorrected back toward the road, then swerved onto the shoulder, crashing into a tree, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The car overturned and came to rest on its side. Reimer, who was wearing a seat belt, died at the scene.
Authorities have not yet determined whether alcohol played any role in the crash.
