WESLEY CHAPEL — A Tennessee man was critically injured Thursday night after falling out of the bed of a pickup truck on Interstate 75.
Timothy Michael Brunner, 23, of Memphis, was riding in the back of a 1999 Ford Ranger, which was driving south on I-75 near State Road 54. For reasons that remain unclear, Brunner was ejected from the back about 10 p.m, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Brunner and another passenger were riding unsecured in the bed of the pickup truck, FHP said. The other passenger was not injured.
Brunner was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, where he remained Friday in critical condition.
