TAMPA — A man was critically injured during a dirt bike crash Tuesday morning, police said.
The 24-year-old man was heading north on Habana Avenue at 8:17 a.m. when he tried to pass a car by entering the southbound lanes. After passing the car, he lost control and hit a curb, throwing him off the dirt bike, Tampa Police said.
Theman, whose name was not released, was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital with critical injuries. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
All lanes were closed Tuesday morning on Habana Avenue between Woodlawn and Ohio avenues for about three hours.
