Driver on Seven Springs crashes into tree, dies

A New Port Richey man died Friday night after he lost control of a 2004 Ford Mustang and crashed into a tree, Florida Highway Patrol troopers reported.

William Moran, 41, was driving south just before 6:30 p.m. on the curvy stretch of Seven Springs Boulevard north of Humboldt Avenue when he hit the curb in the left turn lane. The Mustang went through a median and hit a tree. Moran, who was wearing his seat belt, was taken to Trinity Medical Center, where he died.

An investigation was under way.
