Man dies from injuries in alcohol-related Hillsborough crash

TAMPA -- One of two men injured last week in what state troopers say was an alcohol-related crash in eastern Hillsborough County has died.

Johan Guevara, 25, died Sunday at Tampa General Hospital from injuries he suffered in the Wednesday crash on State Road 60 near the James Redman Parkway.

Guevara and Antonio Marquez-Felixe, also 25, were headed east on State Road 60 about 10 p.m. in a 1999 Lincoln when the car veered off the road and overturned in a ditch, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Marquez-Felixe was taken to Lakeland Regional Hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries.

The crash, which remains under investigation, was the result of alcohol, troopers said. But investigators have not determined which man was driving the car when the crash happened.
