Motorcycle crash claims 24-year-old man's life in Land O'Lakes

LAND O'LAKES — A 24-year-old man was killed early Monday morning when his motorcycle went out of control near Sunlake High School, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Shane George Buriff was traveling south on Mentmore Boulevard just north of Manassas Drive at 12:37 a.m. when he lost control of his 2009 Yamaha and struck a guardrail, the patrol reported.

Buriff's address was not immediately released. The accident remains under investigation.
