Motorcyclist critically injured in St. Pete crash

ST. PETERSBURG — A 25-year-old St. Petersburg man was critically injured when his motorcycle collided with a vehicle Tuesday night, according to police.

Henry Allen Gardner was riding his 2003 Yamaha motorcycle east on 22nd Avenue N near 68th Street N about 8:40 p.m. Jenny Wren Green, 34, was driving west on 22nd Avenue, then turned left onto 68th Street, crossing in front of Gardner's motorcycle, police say.

Gardner, who was wearing a helmet, locked the rear brake, put the motorcycle down onto its right side and slid into Green's vehicle, police said.

Gardner was taken to Bayfront Medical Center, where he was in critical condition.

Green suffered minor injuries.
