TAMPA — A 25-year-old motorcyclist died after crashing into the back of a pickup truck early Thursday, police said.
The man, whose name was not released, was riding north on N Nebraska Avenue about 2 a.m., police said, when he rear-ended the northbound truck near E Yukon Street.
The motorcyclist was thrown from the bike and came to a stop about 50 yards from the crash.
He was taken to Tampa General Hospital, where he died.
Nebraska Avenue was closed for several hours from Yukon to Seward streets.
