Motorcyclist killed in Brandon crash

BRANDON — A motorcyclist died Saturday night after the driver of a truck turned in front of him, according to Hillsborough County sheriff's deputies.

Ryan Persaud, 27, was driving a 2002 Toyota Tundra south on Valrico Road just after 7 p.m. when he turned left in front of Henry Eugene Jordan at Sydney Road, deputies said.

Jordan, 37, who was driving a 2010 Harley-Davidson, hit the front of Persaud's truck, deputies said. Jordan, of Seffner, died at the scene. He was wearing a helmet and eye protection. Persaud, of Valrico, was not injured.

No charges have been filed pending an investigation, deputies said.
