Motorcyclist killed in Tampa crash

TAMPA — A semitrailer truck ran over and killed a motorcyclist early Thursday while making a wide right turn in Tampa, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The truck, an unloaded Kenworth junk car carrier, was turning north onto 50th Street from 20th Avenue. The driver, Jose Cedeno, 53, of Lakeland, could not see the motorcycle approaching northbound on 50th street.

The motorcycle, a 2009 Yamaha, was driven by Tyler Pangrazio-Abron, 19, of Ruskin. Pangrazio-Abron tried to avoid a collision and skidded under the truck. The truck then drove over Pangrazio-Abron and the motorcycle, the FHP said.

Pangrazio-Abron was taken to Tampa General Hospital, where he died from his injuries.
