Motorcyclist, 30, killed on U.S. 19 in Palm Harbor

PALM HARBOR — A motorcyclist died late Thursday after an accident on U.S. 19.

Troopers said Darrel M. Killion, 30, of Clearwater was performing a "wheelie" at a high rate of speed while driving his Suzuki motorcycle in the center lane of the highway about 10 p.m.

Nicki N. Hatzileris, 28, of Tarpon Springs pulled out in front of Killion as she was exiting a Walgreens parking lot north of Alderman Road, troopers said.

The motorcycle struck the back of Hatzileris' Toyota Tacoma truck, and he was thrown into the road. He was taken to Florida Hospital North Pinellas, where he later died.

These yield signs seem to be pointing to the drivers, one side as they exit the interstate northbound, the other as they …
