A motorcyclist was flown to Tampa General Hospital on Friday afternoon with serious injuries from a crash on Interstate 75 in Tampa.
Robert Linden Gentry, 54, of Plant City didn't see traffic stopped in front of him in the inside southbound lane of I-75 just north of Fletcher Avenue, according to a preliminary report from the Florida Highway Patrol.
Gentry's Harley Davidson ran into the back of a 2006 Toyota Corolla just before 5 p.m., troopers said.
Gentry, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown off the bike. No one else was injured in the crash and investigators closed all southbound lanes of I-75 for an hour.
Troopers also cited Gentry with careless driving.
