Motorist dies in Weeki Wachee crash

WEEKI WACHEE — A motorist died after a Thursday morning crash near U.S. 19 and Commercial Way N, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

According to initial reports, a vehicle was travelling south on U.S. 19 near Camp-A-Wyle Lake Resort when it crossed over a median, across the northbound lanes and into some woods.

Troopers were dispatched around 9 a.m.

No other information about the incident was immediately available.
