New Port Richey motorcyclist killed in collision with pickup

NEW PORT RICHEY — A motorcyclist was killed Thursday afternoon after he collided with a pickup, the Florida Highway Patrol reported.

Greg S. McKay, 50, of New Port Richey, was going north on Decubellis Road when his 2007 Harley Davidson crashed into a 1993 Chevrolet Silverado at 6:24 p.m., the FHP said. McKay, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from the bike and struck his head on the pavement, troopers said.

Kenneth C. Nitz, 26, of Hudson, was making a left turn onto Town Center Road when he collided with the bike, troopers said. A passenger in the truck, Alleana Booth, 36, of New Port Richey, suffered minor injuries in the crash. The accident remains under investigation.
