A New Port Richey woman was killed Friday night, authorities said, after walking into the road and being struck by a car.
Johnathan W. Richters, 19, of New Port Richey was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Malibu north on Moon Lake Road when Susan G. Marth, 55, walked into his path, the Florida Highway Patrol reported. The front of his vehicle slammed into Marth. She died at the scene.
No alcohol was involved, troopers said. The incident remained under investigation Saturday morning.
