New Port Richey woman dies in motorcycle crash

NEW PORT RICHEY — A woman was killed Sunday evening when her motorcycle crashed on the side of State Road 54.

Marcy Lynne Bacon-Stutzman, 44, of New Port Richey was driving in the westbound lane east of Starkey Boulevard at 5:15 p.m. According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, she missed a curve in the road, continuing through the median and an eastbound turn lane before striking a storm drain.

The impact launched the Suzuki, which overturned and ejected Bacon-Stutzman, who landed in the westbound lane, the report states. She died at the scene.
