LAND O'LAKES — A small plane had a trouble landing Tuesday afternoon and ended up in a ditch, but no one was injured, the Pasco County Sheriff's Office reported.
The single engine propeller, 1980 Piper Saratoga from Windermere overshot the runway just before 4 p.m. as it was landing northbound at Pilot Country near State Road 52 and U.S. 41, authorities said.
Two men were on board. Their names have not yet been released.
The airport has been closed until the plane can be removed from the ditch north of the runway.
The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board have been notified and will handle the investigation.
