TAMPA — The northbound lanes of Interstate 75 were reopened Friday morning hours after a traffic crash involving a dump truck and a car closed the road, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The crash was reported about 3:30 a.m. near Fletcher Avenue. During the impact, the dump truck, loaded with asphalt, overturned, troopers said. At least one person was hospitalized with minor injuries.

All lanes were blocked, forcing motorists to pass the crash through a construction area, troopers said. One left lane was opened at 5 a.m. for traffic. By 6 a.m., all lanes were reopened.

The circumstances of the crash were unknown Friday morning.

An investigation remained under way.
