Three people were rescued Tuesday morning after their boat overturned near the Dick Misener Bridge in St. Petersburg, according to St. Petersburg Fire Rescue.

When fire crews arrived before 9:30 a.m., they found a small boat had capsized due to weather conditions and three people in the water, fire officials said.

Officials say two men, ages 46 and 32, and a 9-year-old boy were rescued from the bay and will be evaluated.

A high risk of dangerous rip currents remains in effect across the Tampa Bay area until Wednesday morning, according to the National Weather Service.

The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident.
