CLEARWATER — A Palm Harbor bicyclist died from injuries sustained last week when he was struck on the Bayside Bridge, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Stephen Xavier Alimonda, 52, died on Sunday, two days after he was struck when a driver drifted into his lane, according to troopers.

Clement W. Dumas, 62, of New Port Richey, was driving a 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe southbound in the outside lane just after 6 a.m. when he entered the paved shoulder and struck Alimonda, troopers said.
