Part of U.S. 301 in Tampa shut down after traffic crash

TAMPA — The northbound lanes of U.S. 301 were closed Friday morning while the Florida Highway Patrol investigates a traffic crash with injuries, officials said.

The lanes from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. to Oak Fair boulevards were shut down. Drivers were advised to take alternate routes.

The extent of injuries and the circumstances of the crash were unknown Friday morning.

An investigation remained under way.
