A 19-year-old man was killed early Saturday morning after being ejected from a car that crashed in Lutz, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Three hours earlier, the driver of the car had tweeted that he was "driving fast as h---" on the way home.
Around 3 a.m., Ron Hakeem Richards, 19, of Lutz, was driving west on State Road 54 near the intersection of Oakstead Boulevard when he lost control of the car, according to the FHP. It overturned several times, ejecting passenger Joshua Graciani, 19, of Land O' Lakes.
Graciani died at the scene. Richards suffered critical injuries and was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital.
Graciani and Richards both played football for Sunlake High School.
