A Pasco County sheriff's deputy was injured late Friday night in a two-car crash, the Florida Highway Patrol said. A Subaru Outback driven by Nicholas B. Lukeas turned left in front of the 2009 Chevrolet Impala sheriff's cruiser about 11:45 p.m. on Moon Lake Road at Havana Avenue, the FHP said. The sheriff's cruiser, which was northbound on Moon Lake Road, hit the front of the Subaru. The Subaru then skidded onto the road shoulder. Lukeas, 29, of New Port Richey, and Deputy William B. Davis were taken to Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point. Davis, 22, has a broken right elbow and right leg, sheriff's spokesman Kevin Doll said. Lukeas was cited for failure to yield the right of way and driving without proof of insurance, the FHP said.
