Pedestrian badly injured in Tampa hit-and-run

TAMPA — Police are seeking the public's help in finding the driver who caused a hit-and-run crash early Sunday that left a Tampa man in critical condition.

Police said Vincent A. Lanci, 21, was crossing N Howard Avenue at North A Avenue at 3:12 a.m. when he was struck by a car described as a gray, 2007 Acura TL sedan.

The car is missing the right-side mirror. It was last seen heading north on Howard Avenue near Interstate 275.

Lanci remained in critical condition Sunday at Tampa General Hospital.
