LARGO — A 75-year-old man died after being hit by a sport utility vehicle Wednesday evening on Keene Road.
Patrick Davis was trying to cross Keene Road about 6:45 p.m. near the intersection with Roberta Street when he was hit by a 2004 Chevy Tahoe driven by Sherry Gerow, 44, Largo police said.
Emergency personnel tried to revive Davis at the scene before taking him to Largo Medical Center. He was pronounced dead at the hospital, police said.
No criminal charges will be filed in connection with the crash, authorities said.
The accident is the third pedestrian death in Largo in as many weeks.
Largo police stressed that people should use a crosswalk when crossing streets.
