LARGO — A pedestrian crossing Roosevelt Boulevard without using a crosswalk died after being struck by a pickup truck late Thursday, police said.
According to a police report the pedestrian, who was not immediately identified, was crossing the boulevard west of the 58th Street intersection as a westbound Toyota Tacoma truck approached, police said.
The pedestrian was hit by the pickup and pronounced dead at the scene when emergency responders arrived around 11:15 p.m. Thursday.
Traffic homicide investigators from the Largo Police Department examined the crash for several hours. Police said they did not anticipate charges to be filed.
