PALM HARBOR — Authorities have released the name of a 58-year-old Clearwater woman who was killed in a hit-and-run accident Tuesday night on U.S. 19.
Robin Anne Vallie was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which happened around 8:45 p.m.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Vallie was trying to cross the southbound lanes of the road on foot, just north of Fox Chase Boulevard, when she was hit by a black sedan with tinted windows.
The car may have been a black 2004 Infiniti with heavy front-end damage, the FHP said.
