Pedestrian killed on I-75 in Tampa

TAMPA — A pedestrian was killed late Tuesday as he walked in a southbound lane of Interstate 75.

Troopers said the 66-year-old man, who has not been identified, was walking in an outside lane south of Fowler Avenue just after 11:30 p.m.

He was struck by a car driven by Jason Henriques, 39, of Tampa as Henriques traveled south in the same lane, authorities said.

The man died at the scene.
