Pedestrian seriously hurt in Seffner crash

SEFFNER — A woman was taken to the hospital in critical condition Wednesday night after being hit by a vehicle.

She was struck just after 8:30 p.m. at E Hillsborough Avenue and County Road 579, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The driver remained at the scene and no charges have been filed, said Sgt. Steve Gaskins, a spokesman for the patrol.

The woman's name will not be released until her next of kin has been notified about the accident, the patrol said.
